Mr. Andrew Higa ’03 is the counselor for the current senior class, but he will soon be the counselor for the class of 2028. Although this is his first year working at ‘Iolani, this is not his first year on campus. While Mr. Higa was a student, he loved drama class as well as basketball. After graduating in 2003, Mr. Higa was employed at Longs Drugs. He says this was his favorite place to work because of how little stress the job entailed. After he finished his college degree, he was employed at Kalani High School for 10 years before returning to his alma mater. He is most looking forward to the air conditioning and updated campus. He is also excited to work with young minds and to take advantage of learning opportunities that come his way. He loves the academic standard of the ‘Iolani community, and is thrilled to work with new students throughout the year.
