Frank Ocean’s Upcoming Music in the Works

Austin L., Managing Editor

Last October, Frank Ocean announced an upcoming vinyl release of a pair of new singles during his controversial PrEP+ club night in New York. Both “Dear April” and “Cayendo” as well as their remixes were up for preorder as 12” vinyl singles through Ocean’s official site.

It wasn’t until two weeks ago that the two songs were finally on music streaming platforms like Apple Music and Spotify.

“Dear April” is a letter Ocean writes to “April” about reminiscing in their love and saying goodbye.

“Cayendo” translated to falling again, is about a complicated love between Ocean and a former partner.

Both songs are more introspective and less story-esque than Channel Orange was and more moody than Blonde.

Though it’s not announced whether “Dear April” or “Cayendo” will be on his upcoming album, many anxiously await for Ocean’s highly anticipated third album.
