Aloha! My name is Maia, and I have been a journalist for Imua for 2 years. The aspect of journalism that I enjoy most is connecting with  diverse individuals in our community and exploring their unique interests. I love that we have the opportunity to give a voice to the student body and faculty on topics ranging from controversial opinions on policies to celebrating peers for academic and athletic accomplishments. A fun fact about me is that my idea of a perfect day would be binging murder mysteries shows and cheesy rom coms like Psych, Criminal Minds, How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, and She’s the Man! My favorite pastimes also include playing games such as poker and ping pong with loved ones!
