Hi! I’m Dr. Higa, and this is my first year with IMUA and my fourth year at ʻIolani. I’m excited to work with the brilliant staff at IMUA in addition to teaching 9th grade English and Asian American Literature. Apart from my job, I spend a lot of time with my dog, and I enjoy reading contemporary fiction and knitting. I also co-advise the GSA (Gender-Sexuality Alliance) and ʻIolani Reads.
